    1. Renewal or extension, which one do I need?
    An Israeli travel document is valid for a maximum peroid of 5 years when issued overseas.
    If your travel document was issued for a period of 5 years- you must ​​renew it.
    If you travel document was issued for a period less than 5 years- you can extend it for up to 5 years free of charge(subject to changes in the future)

    Please take note that the payment for the consular services is either in debit card or cash, in case of paying cash, make sure you have the exact amount since the Embassy of Israel does not deal with change. Table of fees for consular services​​

    2. Extending a travel document:
    Adults
    ​Possible via post.
    • Please fill in the following form.
    • Please send your passport plus 2 passport photos 5cm*5cm and the form to the Embassy's address: Israeli Consular Department, Johan de Wittlaan 5, 2517JR, Den Haag.
    • Please transfer 74 Euros for new passport and a fee of 9 Euros (registered post) to the Embassy's bank account: Embassy of Israel
         NL79 ABN​A 0467875146  (Please mention your name and reason of transaction).
    • Please note that in some cases the Consulate will ask the holder of the travel document to attend in person.
    • If you prefer to attend the Consulate in person, an appointment must be made. To make an appointment, click here.
    •  The process of issuing a new passport via post takes no less than 14 working days.

     

    Minors
    • Requires personal attendance of both the minor and one of his/her parents who's Israeli.
    • Please fill in the following form.
    • Service is free of charge.
    • An appointment must be made. To make an appointment, click here​​.
    • Please note: If the parents of the minor are divorced, extension requires the approval of both parents. Approval can be provided by personal attendance of both parents, or by a signed delclaration of the parents verified with a notary and stamped with an apostle stamp.

    3. Renewing a travel document:
    Adults
    Possible via post.
    Please send an envelope to the Embassy containing the following:
    • 2 passport pictures 5x5 (only 5x5 will accepted).
    • The expired travel document.
    • Please fill in the following form.
      • Please transfer a fee for the renewal (74 Euros for a passport +9 euro for postal fee for sending back the document to the address mentioned) to the Embassy's bank account:

    • Please bring: 2 passport pictures (5X5 only)  and the expired travel document.
    • Please in the following form.
    • Fee for renewal of a passport: 39 Euros. For renewal of a travel document: 39 Euros.

    • Please note: If the parents of the minor are divorced, renewal requires the approval of both parents. Approval can be provided by personal attendance of both parents, or by a signed delclaration of the parents verified with a notary and stamped with an apostle stamp.

    4. Renewing the travel document in the event of loss / theft / destruction
    In the event of the loss / theft / destruction of a travel document, you must visit the mission in order to obtain a replacement. Please be sure to bring the following:
    • Two passport pictures 5x5 (only 5x5 will accepted) 
    • A picture ID (identity card or Israeli driver's license).
    • Police report of the loss / theft of the passport.
    • The Israeli passport is the property of the State. The loss / theft / destruction of the passport requires the payment of a higher fee.
